In a medieval hermitage deep in the forests of Umbria, far from the nearest town and accessible only by an unpaved road through oak woodland, Eremito has created one of the most radically austere and profoundly restorative wellness experiences in Europe. There is no Wi-Fi, no telephone signal, and no agenda beyond silence, nature, and the monastery rhythm of simple meals, contemplative walks, and early sleep. The stone cells have been converted into spare but warm bedrooms, the communal meals are organic and largely vegetarian, and the ancient chapel provides a space for morning meditation that needs no spiritual tradition to feel sacred.
